 WHAT TO BRING?

  • Please bring enough food for your dog’s stay with extra in case of travel delays.

DO NOT CHANGE OR ALTER your dog’s diet before they come to stay with us. Being away from you is hard enough, having an upset stomach on top of it is no fun.

IMPORTANT: If your pet has allergies, please make sure they are clearly listed on their belongings and up to date in Gingr.

Update your dog’s food details HERE.

  • All medications must be clearly labeled with dosage and instructions.

We administer medications at no additional charge. Due to the level of monitoring required, we are unable to accommodate diabetic dogs.

  • You’re welcome to bring comfort items from home, such as beds, blankets, or pillowcases. While we do our best to care for these items, they may become soiled, damaged, or misplaced during your dog’s stay. Most beds do not fit in our washing machines, and if a bed becomes excessively wet or dirty, it may need to be discarded. For this reason, many clients choose to leave larger beds at home. We are not responsible for items that are lost or damaged while with us.

  • If your dog uses a bark collar, e-collar, or training collar, we’ll keep their routine consistent. Our staff are trained in their appropriate use, helping your dog stay comfortable and set up for a successful stay.

Please pack your dog’s collar, button, and their charger!

  • For safety, we recommend keeping your dog leashed from your vehicle to our entrance, especially for first-time visits.

  • We require:

    • Rabies

    • Distemper (DHPP)

    • Bordetella (kennel cough)

We encourage your dog to be on both a heartworm protection and a flea & tick preventative. This is the only way to prevent ticks, fleas or any type of communally spread worms/warts

    • Bowls- we provide bowls, slow feeders, and raised bowls if needed

    • Toys- Your dog won’t need them between playtime and their friends. For safety, we don’t allow toys in their kennels that could be ingested or pose a choking risk.

    • Bones/Rawhides - We do not allow bones, rawhides, or similar items in kennels due to choking and ingestion risks.

“An amazing Home Away From Home. More than ample space for dogs to exercise. Love and hugs abound. Socializing is one of the healthiest activities at Katie's Kennel. Nothing else like this in the Omaha area.”
