Our Team

Creating Safety & Consistency every stay

WHERE IT ALL STARTED

The tiny Town Story

Back in 2011, Katie was searching for an excuse to stay home with her lab all day. A friend asked her to watch her dog, and that friend told a friend. From inside her home, she slowly grew the business one amazing client at a time.

She met Josh, her husband and co-owner, there after watching his dog. They got engaged at the top of the dog park and later brought home both of their boys from the hospital there.

In 2017, they built the existing building to give the dogs a space of their own and get their house back. They still live directly next door on the Big City property, and some of those very first clients still board with them today.

THE EXPERIENCE

A Day in the life

We start and end each day with group play. Dogs enjoy four 1.5 hour play sessions throughout the day, with rest time in between.

Our routine stays consistent so your dog knows what to expect. Play time, meals, medications, and rest all follow the same daily schedule creating a safe and predictable environment for them.

When the Nebraska weather does what Nebraska weather does, our dogs can keep playing and lounging in our spacious, temperature controlled indoor facility.

For a breakdown of the daily schedule and what to bring, see our Checklist page!

“We love boarding our two Shelties here, especially in the small dog area, Tiny Town. The staff is always friendly, our dogs are brushed daily, and we appreciate the photos they send while we're away. It gives us peace of mind knowing our pups are so well cared for - we highly recommend Katies Kennel!”
